A music producer, to put it simply, is the 'project manager' for the recording, mixing and mastering process. They are there to make your song sound the way they think your song should sound to be competitive in the market that your song will be in.

They have a vision for the overall music, sound and end goal. Music producers bring in a different perspective to assist, inspire and provoke artists and bands.

Every music producer has their own technique and style of working. Some are hands-on who will be there for every step of the way, some will assign specific persons for each role i.e. vocal engineer, mixing engineer, mastering engineer.

A music producer is accomplished in their art and understands the creation of music, through sound design and the use of pro audio equipment.
